Union members vote to accept WRC proposal for 5.6 % pay rise – new application for SEO to be submitted shortly!
Following the collapse of the Mechanical Sectoral Employment Order process on February 8th, Connect & Unite immediately engaged with MEBSCA employers at the WRC and secured an agreement designed to protect members’ living standards in the short term. The WRC proposals provide for a 2.8% pay rise from 29 April 2022 followed by a second 2.8% increase from 1 January 2023. The proposals also stipulate that our long-standing claim for travel time will be referred to the Labour Court.
Members have now voted to accept the WRC pay proposals.
